Congratulations, Jane!
We recently learned, and are so pleased to share the news, that Dr. Vella's new book,
On Teaching and Learning: Putting
the Principles and Practices of Dialogue Education into Action, has been nominated for the
2008 Cyril O. Houle Award for Outstanding Literature in Adult Education.
Established in 1981 in honor and memory of Cyril O. Houle, Professor of Adult Education at the University of Chicago, this award is conferred annually by the American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE). The winning nominee will receive this year's award at the annual
AAACE
Conference in Denver, Colorado in November.
We extend sincere congratulations to Jane on this nomination and the
recognition of her outstanding work in the field of adult education,
and our best wishes as the selection process unfolds.
