Resistance~

is energy manifest!
It takes courage to resist.
It takes awareness of one’s own cherished way of thinking and working.

As an old resister myself, I salute and honor those who show resistance to the demands of Dialogue Education.

My rector at the Church of the Nativity in Raleigh tells the story of an old lady who came faithfully each Thursday to the 7 a.m. Eucharist (Mass) and sat with folded arms and grim tight lips. She held this posture for a few months until thawing in the warmth of the love and joy she found there. That old lady was me!

What met my resistance was no argument against it, no plea to join the crowd or accept what was being taught. What met my resistance was no resistance at all – just the quiet doing of an age-old liturgy, just the simple statement of age-old truths, just the morning laughter over hot coffee and sweet rolls.

Friends, just do it. Do Dialogue Education as well as you know how and folks will decide for themselves if and when it will work in their unique context.
