SURE-Fire Meetings
SURE-fire meetings will give you the tools you need to apply the principles and practices of the Dialogue Education Approach so that you can create participatory and effective business meetings. It is based on the premise that meetings should be opportunities for individual and collective learning. By drawing on the principles of how adults learn, you will discover how to create an atmosphere of Safety and Respect, and opportunities for meaningful participation and engagement on the part of everyone present. You will learn how your colleagues can make clear decisions that everyone will support, and to evaluate the process and results of your meetings.
October 9-10, 2006
Cost:
$425, or $350 if you are attending the DEI!

Advanced Learning Design
The Advanced Learning Design course provides an opportunity to go more deeply into the technical aspects of curriculum design, communication, and learning styles. You will be asked to bring a current program or course you are designing or want to redesign for use within your organization. That design is the center of this course, as it is reviewed, described, analyzed, dissected, reconstructed and then part of it taught to the others in the course. Such a demanding process leads to increased knowledge, skills and confidence in designing learning based curriculum and program initiatives. You will also benefit from reflecting on the designs of other participants and discussing how you can make learning more participatory, accountable and engaging.
pre-requisite: Learning to Listen, Learning to Teach
October 9-11, 2006
