From Jane's Back Porch

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.

Call for Contributions

We welcome your contributions to this online newsletter! Please consider submitting an article or a reflection... it doesn't have to be long! Even 200-300 words would be wonderful. To help you think about what you might submit, here are some proposed themes for articles in the next three newsletters. Share your convictions, what you know about how adults learn, and what has you puzzled. We know that what generates energy for you will generate energy for others too.

Please sumbit your contributions and your own ideas for future articles to the Voices in Dialogue editor, Christina de Jong

Special Note

For those of you who have taken Learning to Listen-Learning to Teach, you may be interested in our Evaluation by Design course occurring in Toronto, Ontario, from November 10-12, 2005.

If you have taken both Learning to Listen-Learning to Teach and Advanced Learning Design, and are interested in becoming certified to teach dialogue education, consider joining us for our Teacher Certification Course, occurring the week after the Evaluation course, from November 14-18, 2005.

Other Upcoming Public Courses

Switch the Focus

Have you been wishing that more of your colleagues knew about dialogue education since you attended our Learning to Listen-Learning to Teach or Advanced Learning Design courses? Contact us! We would be happy to prepare a quotation to teach an in-house course to 8 -16 of your colleagues.

Or consider proposing that folks attend one of our public courses in Vermont, North Carolina, or Ontario (Canada). See our course schedule.

If a full course is out of range for you at this time, consider having us come to your office to do a half-day or one-day workshop on any dialogue education principle or practice (or combination) that you sense would make a difference in your workplace... for example, you might consider engaging us for training in:

          • Open Questions
          • How Adults Learn
          • Essential Facilitation Skills
          • Learning Needs and Resources Assessments
          • Seven Steps of Design

Call us! We look forward to hearing from you.
