SURE-Fire Meetings
This workshop applies the principles and practices
of Dialogue Education to the design, facilitation and evaluation of business meetings. SURE-Fire Meetings will help you make the most of your
time together, transforming time-consuming meetings
to productive opportunities for mutual learning and decision
making.
WHO? the intended participants for this
workshop
Anyone involved in organizing, designing and/or facilitating
meetings. Between 6-16 participants may complete the course
each session.
Global Learning Partners helps individuals and organizations
improve the effectiveness of their learning programs through a
structured and participatory approach to learning design and facilitation
called Dialogue Education.
WHY? the situation that calls for the
learning event
Meetings are a key activity for every organization. Yet too often
we hear people complaining that meetings are "boring,"
"unproductive," or even "a waste of time and money!"
But we believe that the time, energy and money that
we invest in meetings is too valuable to waste.
SURE-Fire Meetings applies the principles and practices
of the Dialogue Education approach to learning design and facilitation
to creating participatory and effective business meetings.
It is based on the premise that meetings should be opportunities
for individual and collective learning. By drawing on the principles
of how adults learn, you will discover how to create an atmosphere
of Safety and Respect, and opportunities for meaningful
participation and engagement on the part of everyone present. You will learn how your colleagues can make clear
decisions that everyone will support, and to evaluate the process and results of your meetings.
WHEN & WHERE is the course offered?
This is being offered as a 2-day course, but we are happy to adapt
it to shorter or longer timeframes as requested.
